In Plain Sight - A Flash Fiction

There is a monster that walks among us freely. We can all see them. They don't need to hide. As soon as they are out of sight, all memories associated with them disappear. People have tried to warn us in the past with phrases like: "Out of sight, out of mind", but it didn't work. As I write these words and witness my friend's soul being feasted upon by three of the devils, my greatest fear is that we'll both be fine when they're done with us and this documentation will be treated as fiction.
